Caring for your candle is essential to ensure it burns beautifully and lasts longer. Here you will find our favorite care tips and tricks to make sure your get the most out of each burn.
Candle Tips
Tip #1
Make sure to trim the wick to about 1/4 inch before lighting to prevent soot and ensure an even burn.
Tip #2
Keep your candle away from drafts and direct sunlight to avoid uneven melting.
Tip #3
Allow the wax to melt all the way to the edges during each burn to prevent tunneling.
Tip #4
Lastly, store your candles in a cool, dry place when not in use to maintain their quality.

At Dirty Little Hippie Candle Co., we are committed to Reduce. Reuse. Recycle. Our candles are hand-poured with love and eco-friendly ingredients.​
We keep our candles simple and thoughtfully made.
Each one is hand poured with 100% all natural soy wax
and essential oil infused fragrance oils that are free from phthalates and parabens and require
no California Prop 65 warning.
We use cotton wicks that are lead and zinc free and pour everything into classic glass Mason jars. Just quality ingredients, beautiful fragrance, and a candle we feel good about burning in our own homes.

If you would like to reuse your jar or recycle it, we recommend freezing the jar for at least 24 hrs. Remove candle from freezer and break apart used wax with butterknife or flathead screwdriver (please always use pre-caution when doing so). Discard wax into trash can, remove wick tab and throughly wash jar with soap and water. Remove candle label with your favorite adhesive remover.
